He comes to Long Island. President Donald Trump announced in the social network Truth Social that he will attend the “Ryder Cup 2025” after receiving an invitation from the PGA Tour during his Friday, September 26. This year’s Ryder Cup will be held at the Black Black Course in Farmingdale.

“I will be there on Friday of the tournament!” The president wrote on August 23.

Trump has a long career with golf, since he has been the owner or director of numerous national golf clubs in places such as California, Washington DC, Florida, New Jersey and Westchester. He also has golf courses outside the United States, in Ireland and Dubai.

Recently, the president traveled to Aberdeen, Scotland, on a five -day trip to promote his family’s properties and play golf. Trump opened a new golf course under his name: Trump International Golf Links.

Trump, along with his son Eric and two professional golfers, gave the first blow to the media. The golf course has been self -denominated “the 36 largest holes in golf.”

Trump also supported Keegan Bradley to captain the American team during this tournament.

Normally, the team captain does not play in the games, especially in the modern era. Bradley was announced as captain on July 8, 2024.

If Bradley played at the Ryder Cup, he would become the first team captain since 1963 to do so.

This is the first time that Bethpage Black Course houses the Ryder Cup and is only the second time that it is played in New York. The last time was in 1995 at the Oak Hill Country Club de Rochester.

The Ryder Cup is a biennial male golf competition that faces teams from Europe and the United States. The US squad leads the series with 27 victories in 44 games.

The Ryder Cup is a three -day event that will be held from September 23 to 28. The European team will participate as a current champion of the Cup after their victory in 2023.

The Bethpage Black Course was founded in 1936 and has hosted numerous outstanding events since 2000. The United States open ones of 2002 and 2009 were held there, and the PGA championship was also played in 2019. The great golfer Tiger Woods won his second US Open in 2002 in Bethpage, Long Island.

The Bethpage Black Course is widely known for its difficulty, with a sign on the first tee that says: “Warning: Black Course is an extremely difficult field and is recommended only for high -level golfers.”
