The legislator Debra Mulé, attached leader of the minority of the Nassau County Legislature, and the Baldwin Civic Association, joined forces to organize their «3rd. Rodeo and annual parade of community bicycles »at Baldwin Park, a great initiative to promote cycling in Long Island.
With a group walk, a cycling clinic with free security reviews and more activities, the “Community Bike Rodeo and Parade” event is celebrated every year to unite people and promote cycling at all ages and skill levels.
This time, the event took place on Saturday, May 10, from 9 in the morning at noon, in Baldwin Park (Baldwin, NY 11510, between the hockey track and the tennis court).
The activity has the support of Transit Solutions, Let’s Move Li, Oceanside Cycle, Vision Long Island, the Hempstead Town and the Nassau County Police Department. It should be noted that legislator Seth I. Koslow (Merrick Democrat) was also present.
“As a life cyclist, it is wonderful to see how the Baldwin community joins to celebrate cycling and learn more about this wonderful form of outdoor recreation,” said the legislator Mulé (Freeport Democrat).
“Thanks to all the families that attended, the Baldwin Civic Association and all the sponsors for making this event a great success, and the first seal of the Nassau County Police Department to keep the assistants insurance throughout the cycling route.”
In this way a fun and inclusive event designed to gather people of all ages and capabilities to celebrate the joy of cycling. Both experienced cyclists and beginners, everyone found something to enjoy while the community is explored, remain active and know their neighbors in the parade.
