Between October and January, the city expects about 8 million people, who can enjoy cultural celebrations, light shows, Christmas markets and unique experiences in the five districts, while the city celebrates its 400th anniversary.

The magic begins in October with Diwali in Times Square, the Festival of Lights in Southern Asia, which offers free music, dance and gastronomy for the whole family. Brooklyn and Midtown celebrate Hanukkah with the ignition of the biggest minor, live music and hot Latins. The year closes with a brooch of gold in Times Square, where the iconic descent of the ball receives 2026 in a show followed by millions, in a special celebration of the 400th anniversary of the city.

Culture lovers will be able to enjoy Christmas spectacular with the Radio City Rockettes, a Christmas story in PAC NYC, and ballet productions such as the Nutcracker of George Balanchine and The Brooklyn Nutcracker, which fuse modern tradition and creativity. The magic also arrives with Rob Lake and the Muppets, Chris Botti concerts, the New York Philharmonic and the Magic Flute in the Metpera.

Museums and gardens are filled with Christmas spirit: the Holiday Train Show of the Bronx Botanical Garden, the Origami tree in the American Museum of Natural History and the mangers of the MET and The Morgan Library provide unforgettable family experiences.

The lights invade the city: Lighttscape in Brooklyn and Shine Bright in Hudson Yards transform the city into a winter paradise, while Christmas markets in Manhattan and Brooklyn invite you to buy, enjoy festive food and live Christmas outdoors.

Hotels such as The Plaza, Luma Times Square, Loews Regency and New York Marriott Marquis complement the experience with decorations, exclusive packages and privileged access to the main events of the season.
