In the tape cutting ceremony of the “reopening” of Centennial Park, the Nassau executive, Bruce Blakeman; State Senator Siela Bynoe; New York state assemblyman Noah Burroughs; and other local officials.

It should be noted that the former minority of the Nassau County Legislature, Kevan Abrahams, obtained an authorization of $ 9.3 million in the capital plan bonds for the Centennial Park renewal project.
On the other hand, since he assumed as representative of the Redistributed district, which includes the entire Roosevelt, the legislator Debra Mulé has fought for the completion of the project since 2024.
