The Queens Public Library (QPL), in partnership with New York Public Schools, will offer free lunches for children and teens throughout the summer at 48 libraries in the borough.
The Summer Meals program is available to everyone under 18 years of age, regardless of income or prior enrollment. Families do not need to register and will have no cost to receive the food.
Lunches will be served Monday through Friday, 1 pm to 2 pm, through Friday, September 4. As a program requirement, participants must consume their meals inside the library where they receive them.
In addition to lunches, some locations will offer special summer activities for children, including games, movies and other family programs.
