Buena Vista Social Club™ Celebrates World Cup with Music and Dance at Rockefeller Center

The Broadway musical “Buena Vista Social Club™” joins Telemundo Fan Village to offer a free celebration of live music, dance and Latin culture in the heart of New York.

The Tony Award®-winning band from the hit musical will perform at The Rink at Rockefeller Center, converted for the occasion into “The Pitch,” a special Telemundo space to celebrate the excitement of the 2026 World Cup.

The public will be able to enjoy a live performance and learn part of the choreography of the show alongside members of the Broadway company, in an afternoon that will combine Cuban rhythms, musical theater and the international spirit of soccer.

8th Grand International Peruvian Parade celebrates Peruvian culture in Queens

The Peruvian community will celebrate its roots with the 8th Grand International Peruvian Parade, a great cultural festival that will travel through the streets of Jackson Heights, Queens, with music, dance, tradition and Peruvian pride.

The parade will start from 37th Avenue and 69th Street to 87th Street, turning the heart of Queens into a scene of celebration under the motto “Peruvian Heart, Hispanic Soul: Millennia of Culture, One Community.”

The 2026 edition will feature a special presentation of Friesian and Spanish breed horses from the renowned Sagastume Ranch, with the participation of riders Carlos Sagastume and Ismael Cuadros, who will share the elegance and legacy of equestrian tradition.

The event was rescheduled to not coincide with the 2026 World Cup final and offer the community a celebration full of Peruvian culture, history and identity.

Queens Jazz Trail celebrates jazz legacy with free park concerts

The Queens Jazz Trail Concert Series 2026 returns with a season of free outdoor concerts in parks across Queens, celebrating the history, music and legacy of jazz in the borough.

Inspired by the renowned Queens Jazz Trail Map, the series will pay tribute to the neighborhoods where great figures such as Louis Armstrong, John Coltrane, Dizzy Gillespie, Ella Fitzgerald, Count Basie, Tony Bennett and Lena Horne lived and played, with performances by notable artists from New York and beyond.

Attendees will be able to enjoy nights of jazz under the stars, bringing blankets, chairs, food and even their dancing shoes for a community and family-friendly musical experience.

Presented by Kupferberg Center for the Arts, Flushing Town Hall and Louis Armstrong House Museum in collaboration with NYC Parks, the event celebrates Queens’ rich musical heritage.
