The new skin of the “canaleros”

The Panama team presented the new clothing that it will wear at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, with a design that maintains the characteristic intense red as the main base, to which are added details in blue and white inspired by the colors of the national flag.

The sponsoring brand of the Panamanian soccer team, Reebok, carried out the presentation in the Old Town of the capital, with a staging that combined tradition and modernity.

In addition to the starting shirt, the brand launched an alternative version in blue with the federative shield in gold, as well as a completely white kit, with the shield in the center of the chest and with red and blue trim.

According to designer Elvis Castillo, the latter incorporates the inscription “Claw and heart” and evokes the figure of the harpy eagle, national symbol of Panama.

Representatives of the brand pointed out that the new clothing has a “vintage” style and seeks to pay tribute to those who “paved the path” to World Cup qualification, as well as to all those protagonists who have dreamed of seeing the team in the biggest event in football.

«We are inspired by many things, but always focused on those who dreamed, in general terms, of reaching a World Cup. This shirt is for all those who have dreams,” said Mark Yohros, representative of the brand in Panama.

The shirts also incorporate cutting-edge technology aimed at optimizing the performance of footballers in highly demanding conditions, such as those presented in a tournament of this magnitude.

Thus, Panama’s “canalera” team is preparing for its second participation in a World Cup, after its debut in the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia, with the expectation of improving its previous performances and consolidating itself as an emerging team in international football.

The Panamanians were placed in group “L” of the next 2026 World Cup along with the teams of Croatia, England and Ghana, precisely with the latter he will make his World Cup debut on June 17.

The new Panama clothing is now available in stores, according to the organizers.
