Fans of Hamilton And the cinema have an unmissable appointment in 2025 at the United Palace in Washington Heights. To celebrate the tenth anniversary of Broadway’s iconic musical and the 95th anniversary of the historic theater, Lin-Manuel Miranda presents a special season of Films in United Palace. This cycle will highlight productions starring members of the original cast of Hamiltonfollowed by exclusive conversations with Miranda and his guests. The best: all functions are free and open to the public.
A film cycle with Broadway and Hollywood stars
The event, which will begin on March 10 and will run until September, will be attended by renowned stars such as Renée Elise Goldsberry, Ariana Debose and Leslie Odom Jr., among other surprise guests.

A gift for the Washington Heights community
Lin-Manuel Miranda is no stranger to United Palace. Since 2013 it has been a fervent driver of the Renaissance of cinema in this emblematic enclosure. It was key in the fundraising campaign to acquire a new projector, screen and surround sound system, allowing the cinema to return to the theater after 40 years of inactivity.
This effort is aligned with the commitment of the Miranda family to support the arts and education in New York. The event is sponsored by the background of the Miranda family, continuing its legacy of cultural activism.
How to get free tickets
Given the high demand of these events, it is recommended to reserve tickets in advance. Tickets are enabled a week before each projection and can be exhausted in minutes. To guarantee a seat, members of the Movies at The Palace program have priority access to the reservation.
Inaugurated in 1930, United Palace is one of the five “Wonder Theatres” of Loew. With a capacity for 3,400 people, it has hosted artists such as Alicia Keys, Bad Bunny and Lauryn Hill, in addition to films of films and series such as John Wick 3 and Only Murders in the Building.
In 2025, in addition to the series of films at United Palace, the theater celebrates its 95th anniversary with special days, including a Star Wars marathon and interactive activities for fans of the saga.
