Hayda Veloz: The creative mind behind Minige TV

Ecuadorian actress and influencer Hayda Veloz, known as Haydita, is taking the minives to another level.

As executive producer, director and protagonist, Haydita combines her talent in front of the camera with an innovative vision to create bilingual stories that connect with young Latinos in the United States and Latin America. From romantic comedies to short dramas and absurd situations from day to day, Minivare TV reflects the life, humor and experiences of a generation that seeks fast, close and authentic content.

Minivela TV was born from the strategic alliance between Haydita, the actor and co -founder Carlos Ponce, and the companies shines Media and Chicano Hollywood. Together they have created a digital platform where creators can experiment, explore new formats and give space to emerging talents. The productions, recorded in Miami, Los Angeles, Texas and Ecuador, arrive at the audience through YouTube, Instagram, Tiktok and X, in addition to connected television (CTV), offering an agile and multicultural experience that reflects the diversity of the Latin diaspora.

In this interview, Haydita tells us how Minivare TV emerged, how he has assumed the challenges of directing and producing, and how he manages to balance its multiple roles within the platform. He also talks about his vision of the future: transforming these minives into series or films that can reach the big screens, carrying authentic and close to more people, and creating opportunities for new talents that dream of growing in the audiovisual industry.

How would you describe Minivela TV in a phrase for those who still do not know?

Minivela TV is a platform that allows you to connect with the comic, drama and day -to -day experiences, both for those who live in the United States and for those outside.

What was the biggest challenge of launching a bilingual project designed for a young and diverse audience in the US and Latin America?

It was a challenge because I only worked as an actress, and this project put me in the logistics area and allowed me to assume the role of executive producer and even director. It was a personal challenge and also for the team, because we had been working in a different way, but this has led us to the next level and we have learned a lot.

The minivas are short, fast and thought for social networks. How was the process of adapting the traditional format of the soap opera to this new digital language?

Today the world is much faster and we do not have time to watch long series or complete movies. We simply want something that makes us connect with ourselves and fun. We find the perfect formula: maintain the episodes in a range of 12 to 15 minutes and make each viewer connect with each minival, either in drama, spanglish, English or Spanish.

How was your alliance with Carlos Ponce born?

They connected with my team and had a meeting last year in Miami. There we met the whole team and closed the negotiations so that this year we began the filming.

Minivela TV combines comedy, melodrama and even absurd situations. Which of these genres do you enjoy working and why?

I really enjoy all, but I feel that I develop better in melodrama, because I have more experience in it. Although I also enjoy comedy. In addition, I have colleagues who make it incredible, and that allows me to learn from them.

The “bad in -laws” and strange events are part of the menu. What has been your favorite minive until now and what reactions has generated in the public?

We have not yet launched all the minives that we have produced, but one of my favorites, which can see soon, is called overflow. Although it is not bad in -laws, what I have enjoyed most is to record the stories of bad in -laws, because we have all had one at some point. It makes us remember and reconnect with those moments that perhaps they were a bit chaotic, but then, when time passes and the relationship improves, they become comic.

How do you make sure the stories reflect the reality and humor of the young Latin audience in the US?

Well, because I am young and Latin (laughs). In addition, I’ve been on social networks for some time and I know what works and what not. What we still do not know, we are learning on the road and through statistics. We are inspired by stories that happen to ourselves. We are human, and we all live situations that we can reflect in episodes.

Carlos Ponce talked that these stories could evolve in series or films. Do you have any miniga that you dream of seeing in a long format?

Yeah! I already have two minivas that I would love to see in long format. We are already working on them and there will soon come more projects that will surely like the public.

What is your vision for Minivare TV in the next five years?

My vision is to be able to take each of these productions to large screens, act in cinema and continue working hand in hand with Brilla Media and Carlos Ponce, who are my strategic partners. I want to have the opportunity to reach more people, to more countries, and that the audience identifies with our dreams.
