Don’t stop, keep going, keep going! Messi qualifies Inter Miami for the ‘Concachampions’

Don’t stop, keep going, keep going! Lionel Messi powered Inter Miami’s comeback against the New England Revolution (1-2), with an assist and the decisive goal, to place his team second in the Eastern Conference of Major League Soccer (MLS) and also qualify it for the Concacaf Champions Cup.

GOAT Messi decided the match in the 83rd minute with a left-footed cross shot, after receiving a pass from Venezuelan midfielder Telasco Segovia. The Argentine star reached 26 goals this season and is the leading scorer in the Emelesero competition.

Messi had previously led to the equalizer of the Mexican-Argentine striker Germán Berterame, who scored with a header in the 69th minute and neutralized the advantage achieved by the “Revs” by Hungarian midfielder Dániel Gazdag in the 53rd minute.

Inter Miami reacted after reaching the break goalless and finding themselves behind in a direct confrontation for second place in the East. The victory allowed them to reach 59 points and surpass New England, which was left with 58.

The Florida team also ended a streak of two games without winning and secured their participation in the next edition of the ‘ConcaChampions’, the last major trophy that Messi is seeking.

The second position in the conference will still be decided on the last day of the regular phase, scheduled for next week. Inter Miami, with a point ahead of New England, will close by hosting Charlotte at Nu Stadium, while the Revolution will face Orlando City as a visitor.

Both games will be played simultaneously this Saturday, November 7, at 4 pm ET. You can watch these duels through the Apple TV sports signal.

The most desired shirt

The Argentine idol Lionel Messi, of Inter Miami, leads the ranking of the most popular MLS jerseys for the fourth consecutive season, the American league reported.

South Korean Son Heung-Min, from Los Angeles FC, and German Thomas Müller, from Vancouver Whitecaps, complete the podium in a list marked by the impact of international signings.

The Polish Robert Lewandowski, of the Chicago Fire, occupies fourth place, while the Frenchman Antoine Griezmann, of Orlando City, appears fifth, despite the fact that both joined the league during the summer.

According to the MLS, Lewandowski’s shirt is the most popular since his arrival in June, although Messi maintains the lead in the balance of the season.

The American Cavan Sullivan, attacking midfielder for the Philadelphia Union, is in sixth place at 17 years of age.

The Gabonese Denis Bouanga, from LAFC, is seventh, followed by the Uruguayan Luis Suárez, from Inter Miami, the German Hany Mukhtar, from Nashville, and the Argentine Rodrigo De Paul, also from the Florida team.

It should be noted that Inter Miami is the club with the most representatives in the top ten, with three, ahead of LAFC, with two.

The classification includes four world champions: Messi and De Paul with Argentina, Griezmann with France and Muller with Germany.
