“Yes, Yes Colombia”: Queens celebrates Colombian independence with music, artists and tradition at FIOC NY 2026

Queens will become a meeting point for lovers of Colombian culture with a day that promises live music, gastronomy, dance and entertainment during the 14th edition of the Colombian Pride Independence Festival (FIOC NY 2026).

Next Sunday, July 26, the New York Hall of Science will welcome thousands of attendees to celebrate the 216 years of Colombia’s Independence with a program that brings together artists, traditional flavors and cultural expressions in an event designed to be shared with family and friends.

Under the motto “One rhythm, one heart. Yes, Yes Colombia!”, the festival will offer an experience that connects the Colombian and Latino community of the tri-state area with their roots through music and traditions that have accompanied generations of immigrants.

The FIOC NY 2026 stage will feature the participation of prominent Colombian artists such as Jhonny Rivera, Jenny López, Andy Caicedo, Dubán Bayona, Ricardo Stevan, El Arriero delv Café, Mr. Sax, DJ Pereira and Rayna, who will bring to the public a mix of popular music, vallenato, tropical rhythms and contemporary sounds.

But the celebration will not be limited to the stage. Attendees will be able to enjoy a sample of Colombian gastronomy, support ventures, tour cultural spaces and share an afternoon of entertainment for all ages.

This year’s edition will also have a special appeal for football fans. In the midst of the World Cup atmosphere, the festival will raffle among its attendees two plane tickets to the winning country of the Soccer World Cup and $2,000 for travel expenses, thanks to the support of Prexco.

The day will feature the participation of special guests such as Ana Sofía Ortiz Jiménez, FIOC 2026 Queen Ambassador, and María Paz Chamorro Mora, Miss Teen Universe Colombia 2026, who will represent the country in the international competition to be held in India.

It will be hosted by Óscar Herrera and Martha Isabel Ramírez, along with DJs John G and DJ Taz and communicators Sandra Bermúdez, Shanna Fuentes, Susy Díaz and Andrea Owadally. The festival is directed by Alexandra Aristizábal.

After the call reached in 2025, the FIOC NY 2026 returns with an open invitation for the community to enjoy an afternoon dedicated to music, culture and encounters that keep the connections between Colombia and New York alive.
