Walk for Dogs and Families

This fall on Long Island dogs are celebrated in the best way. Local shelters and rescues host fun-filled events that support animals in need and bring the community together.
The North Shore Animal League America invites animal lovers to Garvies Point, or join virtually from anywhere, to participate in its annual “Walk & Wag 2025” to take place this Sunday, October 19, from 9 a.m. (registration) and 10 a.m. (walk start).
This family- and dog-friendly charity event includes music, food, vendors, activities and adoptable pets, all in celebration of the 80th. anniversary of the League. You can register or donate to the event on your website.
