Hundreds of local students kicked off the 2026-27 school year by receiving new backpacks, school supplies and sneakers, as well as haircuts, during the 21st. “TRIMZ CUTZ for EDU” annual back-to-school celebration held in Freeport on August 22.
Nassau County Legislator and Deputy Minority Whip Debra Mulé and Legislator Scott M. Davis joined TRIMZ Barber Shop owner Levar Broughton to host this important event to benefit the children and families of Long Island.
The initiative was presented in collaboration with Heeling Soles, Inc. and Steve Muir; Glory House Recovery, Inc. and Terenna Williams; New York State Senator Siela A. Bynoe; and the Village of Freeport.
