Between August 15 and 17, the “World Games of Humanoid Robots 2025” are held in Beijing (China), a competition open to teams from various countries and focused on technical advances and practical applications of this type of automatons.
The “sports” appointment includes evidence in disciplines such as football, athletics, gymnastics or climbing, with the aim of evaluating physical performance, the capacity for perception and the level of autonomy of machines.
The event is part of a national boom for robotics, promoted by the development of artificial intelligence and the country’s commitment to technological self -sufficiency.
According to Trendforce data, the production of humanoid robots in China will reach a value of 4,500 million yuan (616 million dollars) in this year 2025.
This technological effervescence translates into competitions such as the half -marathon of robots held last April or the National Football Championship between autonomous robots organized last June, both in the Chinese capital.
It should be noted that the Chinese capital thus hosts this month two events in the Robotics sector, at a time when the country seeks to consolidate its position in an industry marked by automation, artificial intelligence and the development of intelligent physical agents.
From August 8 to 12, Beijing housed a new edition of the “World Robots Conference”, in which more than 200 national and foreign companies participated.
According to the organization, more than a hundred products were presented for the first time, almost double that in 2024, including devices specialized in rescue, inspection, medical assistance or domestic tasks.
Among the expected novelties are quadruped robots, catheter control systems and smart cutter, the local press reports on Monday.
The exhibition also had the presence of fifty full -body humanoid robots, a type of device that has gained visibility in recent years.
The event included a sample with more than 1,500 products, as well as parallel activities aimed at the general public to promote the interaction between technological innovation and consumption.
The conference, co -organized by the Chinese Institute of Electronics and the World Cooperation Organization in Robotics, was attended by institutions from more than 80 countries, according to official information.
