Legacy of empowerment and progress

Importantly, the Long Island Hispanic Chamber of Commerce was founded with a bold and unifying mission: to build a powerful voice for Latino entrepreneurs and create pathways to economic opportunity throughout the Long Island region.

In the early 1990s, a committed group of Hispanic business owners, professionals, and community leaders recognized the urgent need for an organization that would not only represent their common interests, but also provide significant support to help Latino businesses thrive.

What began as informal gatherings in small community spaces quickly gained momentum. These first meetings were more than just networking events: they were acts of vision and solidarity.

Through perseverance, collaboration, and an unwavering belief in the power of community, LIHCC steadily grew into a regional force. Over the years, it has established itself as a trusted partner, advocate, and catalyst for success, providing mentorship, business development programs, policy advocacy, and access to essential resources for hundreds of Hispanic-owned businesses.

«Today, the Long Island Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is a testament to what can be achieved when people come together around a shared dream. We are proud to continue building on this rich legacy: elevating Latino voices, fostering the next generation of leaders and forging lasting alliances that drive significant progress for our community,” they say from the LIHCC.

«Our work is not finished. As the Latino business community continues to grow, so does our commitment: to defend, empower and lead with purpose,” they emphasize while inviting you to become a member of this organization. For more information visit Lihcc.org.
