The Americas Film Festival New York (TAFFNY) continues with its 13th edition and a free program that brings together new stories and voices from the continent. From October 2 to 9, the public will be able to enjoy a selection of short films and films such as Si Vas Para Chile, Adiós, Amor, La Hija del Volcán and Herencia de la Tierra, as well as meetings with filmmakers and special activities.

The festival will also present its closing film, Wrong Husband, on Friday, October 9 at the National Museum of the American Indian. The activities take place in different spaces in New York and are free.

Plim Plim arrives with a musical party for the little ones!

The little ones have a date with Plim Plim ¡En Vivo!, the musical show inspired by the popular Argentine children’s series, which comes to the Lehman Center for the Performing Arts with two performances, at 1 and 3 pm. The experience combines songs, games, movement, humor and audience participation, while promoting positive values, healthy habits and teamwork.

Fiona, Adri and Plim Plim will invite children and families to be part of an adventure full of music and color. The show is presented primarily in Spanish, with some songs in English.

Hispanic Society celebrates October with art, music and traditions
During October 2026

The Hispanic Society Museum & Library welcomes fall with an agenda that brings together literature, art, music and history in Upper Manhattan. Activities include a Book Fair in Spanish on October 3, a Taino language workshop on the 10th, and a talk with Colombian artist Esperanza Cortés on the 15th.

The program also includes architectural tours during Open House New York, a Day of the Dead celebration, a presentation on the Puerto Rican experience in 1920s New York, and special Halloween activities on October 31.

During the month, visitors can also enjoy exhibitions such as A Living Vision: The Sorolla Gallery at 100 and Embroidered Allegories.
