This Saturday, May 17, New York Kiddos in Brooklyn becomes the starting station of a unique musical trip. At 10:00 am, it goes up to “Train C”, a collection of educational and fun songs that celebrates the wealth of the city and Latin culture. With the participation of Nicolás Tovar, winner of 5 Latin Grammys, and Jewels Jaselle, Grammy nominated, this event promises to be a party for the whole family.

During the event, you can enjoy live presentations, interactive activities for children and an introduction to the album “Train C”, which encourages Spanish learning and the appreciation of Latin culture from an early age.

Queens College Choral Society: Verdi Requiem

Finished in 1874, Verdi’s Requiem is a masterpiece of great dramatic force and scope, without equal to beauty, magnitude and intensity. Enjoy this usual masterpiece, one of the greatest of all time! The Queens College Choral Society will be accompanied by the Choir of Acute, the Vocal Ensemble and the Queens College orchestra, along with Mikayla Sager (soprano), Renée Tatum (Mezzosoprano), Victor Starsky (tenor) and David Pittsinger (bass-barrel).

Spring blooms in the Rockefeller Center

Different schedules

Spring blooms at the Rockefeller Center with “Spring is Blooming”, a free artistic celebration presented by Van Cleef & Arpels. On May 17 and 18, the iconic space between the fifth and sixth avenue is filled with floral art by Alexandre Benjamin Navet, poetry cured by the Guggenheim and the Academy of American Poets, live painting of the New York Academy of Art and dance presentations with choreographies of Benjamin Millepied and Cassiel Gaube, through Dance Reflections Reflections by van Cleef & Arpels. The dance functions “Soirée d’études” – Choreography of Cassiel Gaube, will take place on May 17 and 18, with functions at 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. on the Summer Track of Rockefeller Center, between the fifth and sixth avenue in Manhattan. *All events are subject to climatic conditions.
