Laguardia performing Arts Center announces its vibrant spring season 2025

The Laguardia Performing Arts Center (LPAC) of the Laguardia Community College/Cuny has revealed its billboard for the spring of 2025, promising a series of shows that celebrate cultural diversity and artistic excellence. From Afrodominican flamenco to hip hop and urban dance, the season offers unique experiences for all art lovers.

Dance, music and poetry in the same stage

One of the most anticipated events is a presentation of Frodominican flamenco, part of the Cuny dance initiative, which explores the fusion of Caribbean and Spanish rhythms. In addition, the public can enjoy a celebration of Mexican dance and an electrifying show that combines hip hop, urban dance, African music, reggae, pop and poetry.

As part of the prestigious Carnegie Hall Citywide program, LPAC will also present a special event: an energy performance by Japanese Taiko drum by Soh Daiko, completely free for the community.

A call to inclusion and support for local artists

“Our spring season highlights community celebrations: dynamic events that unite art lovers to support the creative voices of minority artists and foster a spirit of inclusion and cultural appreciation,” said Evelyn Lowmark, interim executive director of LPAC. «Attendees will not only enjoy extraordinary shows, but will also contribute to the growth and recognition of these talented local artists. These are unmissable presentations for anyone who loves art ».

For his part, Handan Ozbilgin, artistic director of LPAC, highlighted the originality of the programming: “These events challenge the limits of traditional presentations and offer unforgettable experiences with impressive performances that will leave you inspired and entertaining.”
