“La India”, recognized as the “princess of salsa”, will be presented singing in concert for the first time in Long Island, New York. The acclaimed Puerto Rican artist will look at the Westbury Theater on Saturday, October 11, from 8 pm.
With a race that covers more than three decades and an incomparable voice that has conquered scenarios throughout the world, “India” is one of the most influential female figures in the sauce.
Winner of multiple awards and recognized by her interpretive strength, the artist will provide a show full of passion, flavor and great successes that have marked generations.
The concert, produced by Eeg Live, will bring together thousands of fans who can enjoy emblematic themes such as “say that I am”, “that man”, “Live ours” and many more, in a musical tour that celebrates the trajectory of one of the most powerful voices of Latin music.
Linda Bell Viera Caballero, artistically known as «La India, is a singer born in Río Piedras, Puerto Rico, who shines on stage performing salsa genres, boleros, ballads, Latin pop, reggaeton, bachata and others.
“India” will sing his best hits as “Dancing on the Fire” of his first musical album Breaking Night (1988) and “Love & Happiness” of the album Strictly Rhytm (1994).
Also, the songs “Black Clouds”, “If you are my man”, “Stupid”, “Ice”, “Solo”, “My greatest revenge”, are just some of the hits with which the entire public of Long Island will dazzle.
“The princess of the salsa” who was baptized by her godmother, the great Celia Cruz, grew up in the south of Bronx, in New York, and her name “La India” was given her grandmother Jusa Guadalupe due to her physical features.
“India” has a unique place in the history of tropical music, and in each show demonstrates that it is one of the female exponents that best represents the salsa genre worldwide.
