Betty’s Breast Cancer Foundation walk radiates positive energy, love and hope

On October 4, the fourth annual “Walking Life in Pink” walk took place in Eisenhower Park located in Nassau County, Long Island, NY, an event organized by Betty’s Breast Cancer Foundation that was full of positive energy, love and hope.

An average of 150 people, including women, parents and children, all united for a single cause, came to the park to motivate and encourage preventive examination for breast cancer, a disease that takes the lives of more than 43 thousand people a year in the United States, this being the main cause of mortality in women around the world.

Preventive measures and early detection significantly improve the chances of cure and survival.

The inaugural ribbon cutting for this year’s “Walking Life in Pink” walk was at 9:30 a.m., beginning the journey along the edge of Eisenhower Park estimated to take about 45 minutes.

An emotional Betty Rodríguez, founder of Betty’s Breast Cancer Foundation, thanked all those who attended and those who made it possible for the walk to take place once again with great success.

And remembering those people who have lost the war against this terrible disease, Rodríguez stressed and called on them to “not give up, they are not alone, we are here to support and provide all the resources necessary for them to continue fighting alongside their families,” he expressed.
