The holiday atmosphere is already beginning to be felt in New York and the Rockettes are already fine-tuning each step to return to Radio City Music Hall with a new season of their traditional Christmas Spectacular, which this year comes with more tap, technology and shine.
From November 4, 2026 to January 4, 2027, the Rockettes will once again turn the Radio City stage into one of the great destinations of the Christmas season. And although the show retains many of its classic moments, this edition incorporates new features that seek to bring the audience even closer to the action.
The main surprise will be “Ring”, a new number inspired by “Carol of the Bells” and created by renowned tap choreographer Chloé Arnold, who worked alongside the resident direction and choreography of the Christmas Spectacular.
The number connects the Rockettes to their roots. When the company debuted in 1925, tap was a fundamental part of its performances. Now, 101 years later, the dancers return to that language with a more contemporary choreography full of rhythm.
“Ring” begins with three Rockettes in silhouette and gradually incorporates dancers until all 36 members come together in a final kick. The costumes are also part of the show: each costume features more than 3,600 crystals, from the shoes to the head accessories, to create an effect inspired by the sparkle of a bell.
Technology will also play a leading role. For the first time, multiple cameras placed around the stage will show different angles of each number in real time on two screens on the sides of the stage. The public will be able to see the formations from above, the movements from the sides and the famous kicking line from perspectives that are normally out of their view.
The production will also have 230 performances, the largest number in the history of the show, and with Radio City’s Sphere Immersive Sound system, which allows you to listen to the music and sounds of tap from different points in the theater.
Tickets for the Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes are on sale now. Prices start at $50 at the Radio City Music Hall box office and $55 for online purchases.
The holiday season hasn’t officially started yet, but the Rockettes are already taking their first steps toward welcoming it.
