The hit Broadway musical Buena Vista Social Club, winner of the Tony and Grammy Awards, presents a new edition of its popular Dance-Along, a special performance in which the audience is invited to sing, move and dance from their seats to the rhythm of Cuban music.

The evening will be presented by Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o, who joins this celebration after the success of previous performances led by Lin-Manuel Miranda and John Leguizamo, all of which were sold out.

The production invites attendees to enjoy the music freely, dancing respectfully and returning to their seats between songs so that everyone can live the experience.

Afro-Latin and Taiwanese jazz come together in a unique concert in Queens

Six-time Grammy Award-winning pianist and composer Arturo O’Farrill and Taiwanese bassist Vincent Hsu will give their first joint performance in the United States with Spirits from Both Sides, a concert that fuses Afro-Latin jazz, Afro-Cuban music and traditional Taiwanese influences.

After their debut at the Plaza Jazz Festival in Havana, both artists arrive at Flushing Town Hall with an ensemble that brings together prominent Afro-Latin jazz musicians, members of the Soy La Ley Afro-Cuban Jazz Band and guest artists from the Cuban and Taiwanese communities of New York.

At the conclusion of the concert, the musicians will participate in a conversation with the audience moderated by Tracy Hyter-Suffern, former executive director of the National Jazz Museum in Harlem.
