Live it LI: PARRISH USA 250 Ecological Art Exhibition
Until June 14 / 11 AM – 5 PM

The Parrish Art Museum presents the first exhibition in its PARRISH USA250 series for this year 2026 called: “Regeneration: Long Island’s History of Ecological Art and Care” that promotes life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

This is an exhibition that brings together eleven intergenerational artists whose practices reflect a sustained commitment to the environmental challenges that affect New York’s East End and the world today.

The works in the PARRISH USA250 event arise from the intersection of ecological art, environmental action and community collaboration.

This exhibition runs through June 14 featuring talented artists Scott Bluedorn, Jeremy Dennis, Sasha Fishman, Maya Lin, Tucker Marder, Mamoun Nukumanu, Randi Renate, Cindy Pease Roe, Sara Siestreem, Alan Sonfist and Michelle Stuart.

“Regeneration” is the first exhibition of “PARRISH USA250: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness,” a year-long program commemorating America’s 250th birthday in 2026.

Responding to the Declaration of Independence’s affirmation of “life” as an inalienable right, “Regeneration” explores our responsibility to the diverse forms of life that sustain us.

“We developed the annual PARRISH USA250: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness exhibition series to reflect on the nation’s history and its founding values, examine the present moment, and imagine new ways forward,” said Dr. Monica Ramírez-Montagut, executive director of the Parrish Art Museum.

«Regeneration conceives ecology not as an abstract idea, but as a lived experience. “We are honored to shine the spotlight on these 11 artists—many of whom live and work in our community—whose practices highlight notions of interdependence that affect both human and non-human life, reminding us that the sustenance of life demands care, responsibility, and collective action.”
