Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman joined the New York state senator Steven Rhoads; to local legislators John Ferretti and Michael Gigregorio; to the councilor of Hempstead, Chris Schneider; And to the staff, administrators, coaches and families of the Seoford high school in an emotional parade and mentions ceremony to celebrate the “Seaford Varsity Porristas team” for their recent victory in the National Championship.
“Seaford Cheerleading Team” won his title in a contest developed in Orlando, Florida, in February. The event was attended by 96 teams from all over the country in the traditional Division II Small Varsity category. The victory of the Long Island cheerleaders team marks the first national title in the history of Seaford High School program.
The Blakeman Executive thanked all the staff of this high school and Nassau County employees who made the tribute parade possible. He also congratulated the national champions for their hard work and promised that it would be an achievement that would last over time.
