Two Hispanics arrested in Westbury and handed over to ICE for deportation

The Third Squad of the Nassau County Police Department (NCPD) reports the arrest of two people of Hispanic origin for a criminal incident that occurred on Sunday, November 9, at 7:32 pm, in Westbury, Long Island.

According to authorities, officers responded to a shoplifting call in progress at the Target store located at 999 Corporate Drive, Westbury.

In this operation, the police located and detained immigrants Gustavo Tellez Carillo, 36 years old, and Erika Gómez Moreno, 33 years old, both residents of 45 East 45 Street, New York.

NCPD indicates that a subsequent investigation into this case determined that both alleged thieves are in the United States irregularly and are subject to deportation proceedings.

Tellez and Gómez are charged with grand larceny in 4th. grade, reports the Third Squad.

They were released with a court summons and were later detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents in Nassau.
