They organize breast cancer detection tests in Glen Cove and Port Washington

The minority leader of the Nassau County Legislature, Delia Deriggi-Whitton, is associated with Nuhealth to take the breast cancer detection vehicle, known as the “mammovan”, to the litig House Community Center, located in Port Washington, on Saturday, September 27, and to Charles Evans Center, Lozalized on Thursday October 9.

In these places free mammograms will be offered to women over 40. Appointments include a breast exam with a nurse, a mammogram and instructions for self -examination.

Previous appointment is required and mammograms are free for women without medical insurance, according to eligibility requirements. Women with medical insurance could have to make a copayment.

Women who have spent more than 1 year since their last mammography must obtain a medical recipe (if they have insurance) and provide previous radiographs (if available).

“Early detection is essential for the success of breast cancer treatment, and resources such as the NUMC mammography unit (Nassau University Medical Center) make it convenient and facilitate the realization of detection tests and guarantee that it receives the necessary attention,” said legislator Deriggi-Whitton.

“If a mammogram must already be done, there is no better time than to take care of your health and schedule an appointment today!”, Emphasizes the Democratic official representative of Glen Cove.

For more information and schedule an appointment until the availability is exhausted, communicate with the office of the minority leader, Deriggi-Whitton, calling (516) 571-6211 or writing to [email protected].
