Ready for 24 productions, ten theaters and tons of Latin talent in a single festival? Teatro Fest NYC 2026 returns from February 27 to April 30 to fill New York with theatrical works, from drama and comedy to musical shows, dance and experimental theater, celebrating the creativity and diversity of the Latino community. The festival unites ten leading Latin theaters in a shared celebration of narrative, culture and stage innovation, with performances presented on various stages throughout the city.
In a national moment of fear and division, the festival becomes a space of unity, collaboration and cultural resistance, offering a platform to underrepresented Latinx artists and connecting stories that resonate across generations. With experimental works, classics, music, dance and multidisciplinary shows, in English, Spanish and bilingual formats, each performance promises to surprise and excite viewers.
The festival will kick off with a free Latinx/e Theater Spring Preview at the Public Library for the Performing Arts at Lincoln Center, featuring scenes from several productions and the participation of special guests, including Rafael Espinal, Commissioner of the New York City Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment.

Among the participating companies are IATI Theater, ID Studio Theater, INTAR, Teatro LATEA, Pregones/PRTT, Repertorio Español, Teatro Círculo, Teatro SEA, Thalia Spanish Theater and The People’s Theatre.
Cultural Affairs Commissioner Laurie Cumbo celebrated the return of the festival: “I am delighted with the return of the one and only Fest Theatre! This festival offers all New Yorkers the opportunity to participate in and celebrate the rich traditions and contemporary creative energy of our dynamic Latino communities. See you at this year’s festival!
Dr. Manuel A. Morán, founder of Teatro SEA, highlighted: “In times of division, Teatro Fest NYC is an act of affirmation and resistance. We celebrate our identities, colors and all the Latin artistic wealth, from comedy to puppet theater, dance and music.”
Tickets vary by production, with some performances free or low-cost. For the complete schedule and tickets, visit latinotheatersny.com or Teatroslatinosny.com, or follow @teatroslatinos on social media.
