On March 5, the opening dinner of Círculo de la Hispanidad’s GALA 2026 was held at the Garden City Hotel in Garden City, New York. The Spring Gala will be held on Friday, May 15 at 7:30 pm at the same hotel.
The Founder and Executive Director, Mr. Gil Bernardino, welcomed all attendees to the Opening Dinner and thanked the members of the Planning Committee, the press and the honorees for their commitment to supporting the Gala.
Program Director Dr. Sarah Brewster, along with Mr. Bernardino, introduced this year’s honorees.
They are:
– Osmán Canales, President and Founder, Long Island Latino Association Inc
– Mateo Flores, Hempstead EOC Principal and Westbury School Board Member
–Jovia Financial Credit Union
– Pedro Placencio, Director of Sales and Marketing, Fidelis Care
– Rico Ramnarayan, COO, Computer Resources of America
– Craig Sweezey, President, New York Business System
Each of the honorees thanked Círculo de la Hispanidad for the honor received and promised to collaborate so that this year the Gala is an even greater success than in previous years.
The funds raised at the Gala are allocated to the general needs of the organization and, for more than 40 years, scholarships have also been awarded to young Hispanic high school graduates to support their university or vocational studies. More than $600,000 in scholarships have been awarded since the organization’s founding.
“We invite the community and companies to collaborate with our Gala by sponsoring advertisements in our Sponsorship Magazine, which is distributed to all attendees on the day of the Gala and throughout the year in the different activities organized by Círculo de la Hispanidad,” commented the organizers.
“We cordially invite the community to participate in our Gala, which includes a great banquet and the best live music, with an orchestra and DJ,” they stressed.
