Santa Claus thrills in surprise visit to Amityville elementary students

Ho ho ho…Students and staff at Northeast Elementary School, located in Amityville, were filled with joy and excitement during a special surprise visit from Santa Claus, just in time for the holiday season.

Accompanied by members of the North Amityville Fire Department, the good-natured “Santa Claus” arrived from the North Pole on Wednesday, December 10, to tour each classroom, greet students and wish them a “Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.”

Northeast Elementary School Principal Dr. Pauline Collins warmly welcomed Santa upon his arrival to Long Island and personally thanked him for visiting her students and helping make the day unforgettable.

The Preschool and Kindergarten children enthusiastically enjoyed the moment, many of them hugged Santa Claus with affection and promised to continue being good students.

Some were even moved to tears as they experienced the thrill of meeting Santa Claus in person. Festive attire, decorated Christmas trees in classrooms and colorful Christmas decorations contributed to the joyful atmosphere throughout the school.

The Amityville School District, located in Suffolk County, extends its sincere thanks to the North Amityville Fire Department for helping bring the magic of Christmas to Northeast Elementary School and spreading holiday cheer to the youngest students.
