To ensure that all students have the necessary essential items for an excellent beginning of the 2025-2026 school year, Nassau County legislator, Seth I. Koslow, joins Leon Levar Brouchton, owner of the Trimz Barber, to organize the 20va. Annual delivery of gifts back to classes for children of legislative districts 5 and 6.
This traditional event called «Back-To-School Giveaway-Cutz for Edu» will be held on Saturday, August 23, from 11 am to 4 pm, at the Trimz Barber Shop (Village of Freeport Municipal Lot #10, behind the store), located in 20 Guy Lombardo Avenue, Freeport, NY 11520.
It is reported that backpacks and school supplies will be delivered by order of arrival.
In addition, participants will have the opportunity to play in a video game truck and enjoy the music of DJ Sour, Pintacaritas, Refrigerios and Spins, and receive free haircuts from Trimz Barber Shop, Heeling Soles Shoes, school supplies and other essential items until exhaustion. Other attractions include an ice cream truck, cotton of sugar, an inflatable castle and more.
The “Back-To-School Giveaway-Cutz for Edu” event is presented in collaboration with the substitute leader of the Nassau County Legislature, Debra Mulé (Democrat by Freeport); Heeling Soles, Inc. and Steve Muir; and Glory House Recovery, Inc. and Terenna Williams, with the support of the Incorporated Village of Freeport.

After Abrahams’s retirement in the late 2023, legislator Seth Koslow (Merrick Democrat) joined forces with Brouchton to continue this popular tradition of return to classes.
Children and adults must be together when they cut their hair and collect school supplies, sports shoes and other items. For more information or register as a seller, communicate with the Koslow legislator’s office calling 516-571-6205 or writing to [email protected].
