The Puerto Rican actor shares his experience in the new Prime Video tape directed by Mexican filmmaker Patricia Riggen
In the new Prime Video action film, G20, the Latin talent shines strongly thanks to a powerful combination: the direction of the renowned Mexican filmmaker Patricia Riggen and the outstanding performance of the Puerto Rican Ramón Rodríguez, who gives life to an agent of the secret service with a crucial mission.
“I loved this character because his heart jumps out of the page,” Rodríguez shares. “She is willing to protect the president of the United States. I was fascinated by her relationship with her, she felt like the center of the film, very special.” The actor, who has interpreted diverse roles throughout his career, immersed himself in the intensity of this role thoroughly investigating the work of the agents of the Secret Service. “It is a 24/7 job, very stressful, and many times they spend more time with the president than their own family. That relationship can be very personal.”

Directed by Riggen (the same moon, the 33), G20 represents an important step in the visibility of Latinos in international cinema. “There is still a field to improve,” says Rodríguez about Latin representation in Hollywood. “It’s something that matters to me a lot, looking for ways to continue promoting it. There were many people before me who paved the way and I would like to make it easier for the next generation. Of course I would love to see a Latino like the next action star.”

In addition to G20, Ramón Rodríguez continues to reap successes on television, where he currently stars in the third season of Will Trent. “We’ll see what follows after that,” he anticipates with a smile.

With a high profile cast that includes Viola Davis, Anthony Anderson and Marsai Martin, G20 is more than a tape loaded with adrenaline: it is a sample of the impact and power of Latin talent in the heart of Hollywood.
