Gian Marco, after so long, what does it mean to you to return to the United States stages?

It is a huge joy to be with my band again and be able to present, in this case, in New York. We start in the heart of Manhattan, a wonderful place. I am very happy and grateful. The next day we will be in New Jersey.

Gian Marco

In New York and New Jersey your most faithful followers await you. How do you prepare those special connection moments with the public?

One of the things that matter to us most on stage is the people who took the time to go see us and spend two and a half hours in the best possible way. We will present the new repertoire, with which we were nominated for Latin Grammy, and obviously also the songs that have always accompanied us with my discography, in addition to some songs that I have written for other artists and that the public always asks us in the shows.

How do you balance the classics that everyone loves with the most recent topics in your live repertoire?

The new themes almost always touched them at the beginning. I do not touch the entire complete album, because in the end, as it happens to you, when we are going to see an artist that we like, we always want to hear the classics. But you also have to know how to attract the new public. In the end everything becomes a conjunction that leads us to a night of a lot of music.

Gian Marco

Is there any particular song of this new album that you really want to interpret on this tour?

I still meet is one of the songs that we have always touched and has had a very pretty answer. Everything is going well has also received a lot of love from the people, and with you until the end, that I sing with Mike Bahia, it is another topic that I enjoy interpreting.

Could you tell us any detail that makes the show that we will see in the Palladium and the Shea Center?

I think communion between people and us. We are not so worried about putting screens or fireworks. We want a good staging, but that the true star of the night is the song and the people. It fascinates me when the public is his songs. Many times it becomes almost a karaoke, and I like it a lot. That’s what our shows are treated.

With more than 30 years of career and three Latin Grammy, what learning or changes would you highlight in your artistic evolution?

I think I have never undergone what is fashionable. I have always tried to do what my heart dictates and what I think the public who is still waiting for us. I have learned not to put on so much pressure. The only pressure I wear is to listen to what happens in my heart to create a song and not repeat myself. That is the strongest challenge: reinvent yourself.

Gian Marco

In your networks you shared your enthusiasm for the tour. How do you handle energy and nerves before each show?

I hug them and I love them, because the day I stop feeling them, I dedicate myself to something else (laughs). The nerve is basic. It takes to know that this is still the entire life of one.

What motivates you to continue creating and singing after three decades in the music industry?

I still believe in music as a way and a duct to say things that I have understood over time. I did not choose this race to be famous, I chose it to dedicate myself to music. I am a musician before anything else, and blessed is God the day it occurred to me to grab a guitar and dedicate myself to this. I want my career very much and I respect her deeply. It is a magical career.
