On Wednesday, November 19, 2025, Radio City Music Hall was filled with magic, excitement and applause to celebrate the opening night of the Christmas Spectacular starring the Radio City Rockettes, marking the 100-year history of the legendary Rockettes. More than 500 Rockettes, including current and former members, filled the theater and enthusiastically received a tribute that recognized them as part of a legacy that has touched millions of people around the world.
Jessica Tuttle, Executive Vice President of Productions at MSG Entertainment, took the stage before the show and addressed an emotional message to the audience. With a voice full of pride, he celebrated the dedication, talent and passion of all the Rockettes over the years, remembering how they have been an essential part of the Christmas tradition in New York and in the United States.
Founded in 1925, the Rockettes became the longest-running precision dance company in America. Since their debut at Radio City Music Hall in 1933, they have dazzled with their talent and elegance, bringing joy to more than 72 million viewers around the world. The night of November 19 reaffirmed that legacy: every synchronized kick, every perfect turn and every smile on stage made the audience vibrate and filled the entire room with Christmas spirit.

The celebration began days before, outside the theater. The New York Department of Transportation unveiled a new sign on Sixth Avenue in front of Radio City, temporarily renaming the street “Rockettes Way.” In a historic moment, Rockettes current and from past decades joined forces and performed their iconic kicks to the rhythm of New York, New York, as the city watched excitedly. Mayor Eric Adams highlighted how the Rockettes have brought generations together and made New York shine every holiday season.
Inside the theater, attendees enjoyed unique displays of costumes and experiences that told the company’s story, while sampling food and beverages created especially for the occasion. Across the city, iconic institutions and brands such as the Empire State Building, Museum of Broadway, Serendipity 3, Magnolia Bakery, Waterford and Kith joined the celebration, offering special experiences, products and treats that honor the legacy of these extraordinary women.
