Nassau honors his nurses in the celebration of the ‘National Nurses Week’

The Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman recognized the vital role of our local nurses in the celebration of the “National Nursing Week” (“National Nurses Week”).

At a press conference in the Executive and Leodore Roosevelt building, in Mineola, Blakeman honored the nurses for contributing to Nassau County being the safest in the country. He stressed that the strength of Nassau’s medical care networks distinguishes it from other United States counties.

“We have incredible medical care systems and we are very proud of the work they do,” said Republican Blakeman to nurses. “We are very grateful to have such excellent nurses here in Nassau County and it is a privilege that is recognized today.”

Five nurses of each Nassau hospital network attended the event after receiving nominations for their exemplary work and for their dedication to the service of their patients. Among the health professionals gathered were experts in oncology, dialysis, urgencies, neonatology and intensive care.

«Thanks for the work they do daily. It is a true vocation, and they must be dedicated, have knowledge and love people, something that I know all of you, ”said Nassau County Secretary Maureen O’Connell, who is also a nurse entitled.

«Every day they are in the front line and we greatly appreciate everything they do. Patient care is a true vocation and we really appreciate everything they do in the front line every day, ”added Dr. Irina Gelman, a health commissioner of the Nassau County.

In addition to being the safest county of the United States, Nassau has also received distinctions as one of the healthiest places in the country and the most desirable to live in New York.
