Calpulli Mexican Dance Company presents Viñedos, a dynamic work taken from its acclaimed production Monarcas, which combines Mexican folk dance with a deeply emotional contemporary narrative. The piece pays tribute to Mexican-American workers who, with effort and perseverance, became owners of vineyards in California.
Through movement, live music and powerful staging, Viñedos celebrates resilience, the dignity of work and the transmission of cultural knowledge between generations. The work reaffirms Calpulli’s commitment to telling stories that reflect the Mexican and Mexican-American experience from an artistic and socially conscious perspective.

Ricardo Arjona arrives in New York with “What El Seco Didn’t Say”

After the success of his historic residency with 27 completely sold-out performances in Guatemala, Ricardo Arjona begins his largest and most ambitious tour: “Arjona, Lo que el Seco no dice.” The tour will tour the United States and Puerto Rico during the first months of the year, establishing itself as one of the most anticipated musical events of the season.
In New York, Arjona confirms his drawing power with two consecutive sold-out shows at Madison Square Garden, where he will present a show that combines new songs, great hits and a staging designed to connect intimately with the public.

With more than three decades of experience and an unmistakable voice, La India will offer a tour of the hits that have marked generations, including “They say I am”, “That man”, “Live ours”, “My greatest revenge” and many more. The show, produced by EEG Live, will bring together thousands of fans for an emotional evening celebrating the legacy of one of the most influential female figures in Latin music.

Valentine’s Day with music and dancing at Flushing Town Hall

This Day of Love, Flushing Town Hall invites the public to a romantic evening with Miramar’s concert, accompanied by an open dance floor and a special bolero class to start the night.
With a musical proposal that mixes Latin American boleros, bossa nova, jazz, funk and psychedelic rock, Miramar creates a nostalgic and enveloping atmosphere ideal for celebrating as a couple. The internationally recognized group, with performances on NPR’s Tiny Desk series, offers an elegant and emotional sound led by the voices of Rei Álvarez and Laura Ann Singh.
Before the concert, at 7:00 PM, the public will be able to participate in a bolero dance class guided by instructor Jacqueline Babek, open to all levels. For the occasion, Flushing Town Hall will offer tables for two with wine and hors d’oeuvres, creating the perfect atmosphere for a special evening.

21 Islands International Short Film Fest celebrates its tenth edition

Pregones/Puerto Rican Traveling Theater presents the 10th edition of the 21 Islands International Short Film Fest, a festival that brings together short films from islands and island territories around the world. For three weeks, the public will be able to watch for free online a careful selection of stories that explore island life from multiple genres, styles and cinematographic languages.
Curated by filmmaker Melisa Ramos in collaboration with artistic director Rosalba Rolón, the festival highlights voices from places such as Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Cuba, Ireland, Japan, Taiwan, Chile, Spain, Australia and many other islands. The finalist works compete for jury prizes and for the Audience Prize, whose voting will be open throughout the festival.
With this edition, 21 Islands reaffirms its mission to celebrate island creativity and invite audiences from all over to discover stories that connect cultures, memories and shared experiences.

NYC Off-Broadway Week returns with 2×1 tickets this winter

Off-Broadway theater is once again the protagonist of winter in New York with the return of NYC Off-Broadway Week – Winter 2026, an initiative by New York City Tourism + Conventions that offers 2-for-1 tickets to 26 productions, including 16 new titles on the billboard.
The promotion invites the public to discover a diverse programming that includes musicals, comedies, dramas, family shows and works in Spanish, reaffirming Off-Broadway as one of the most dynamic creative engines in the city. Among the participating shows, Heathers: The Musical, Friends! The Musical Parody, Mexodus, La Gringa, The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao, Gazillion Bubble Show and The Play That Goes Wrong, among others.
Since its launch, NYC Off-Broadway Week has established itself as one of the most relevant cultural initiatives of the season, expanding access to theater for both residents and visitors.
