Salsa Boat Party in NYC: Latin party on the water

New York is preparing for a night full of rhythm with the Salsa Boat Party, a boat party that will sail through the city skyline with live music, dance and Latin energy until dawn.
The experience will feature a live orchestra performing salsa hits such as Apparently, Sin Sentimientos, Señora Ley, Llorarás and Rebelión, as well as an environment divided into two musical floors: live salsa on the main deck and a mix of salsa, merengue, bachata, reggaeton and Top 40 with a DJ on the second level.
The event includes panoramic views of Manhattan, a bar with drinks for sale, a festive atmosphere for photos, and a full night of celebration on the water.
Colombian Pride Queen 2026 will celebrate her coronation in New York

The election and coronation of the 2026 Colombian Pride Independence Festival Queen will be held at the prestigious Crest Hollow Country Club, in New York, in an evening dedicated to highlighting Colombian culture, elegance and tradition.
In this second edition of the contest, nine candidates will compete for the title of FIOC Colombia USA 2026 Queen Ambassador, proudly representing the roots and talent of the Colombian community in the United States.
The participants prepare together with Eoanna Modeling Academy, while the makeup and official photos will be in charge of Francis Star and the Cree brand. For the coronation night, the candidates will wear designs by Ana Kubu, accessories from Encantos Colombia, exclusive footwear from Carlos Molina and the final beauty touch from Lina Uribe Body Spa & Bronze.

Brooklyn Guitar Festival to debut this summer with guitar legends in NYC

The first Brooklyn Guitar Festival will arrive this summer in New York with two days dedicated to celebrating guitar music and culture, bringing together renowned artists and new figures of the genre on stages in Brooklyn.
The festival will take place on Friday, June 12 in Warsaw in Greenpoint and on Saturday, June 13 at the Lefrak Center at Lakeside in Prospect Park. The lineup will include performances by big names such as Al Di Meola, John Scofield, Bill Frisell, Mike Stern, Vernon Reid, Alex Skolnick, Eric Wales, Jackie Venson, Greg Koch and Andy McKee, as well as special tributes to John Scofield and Jeff Beck.
In addition to the concerts, the event will feature special programming, local vendors and activities designed for music fans of all ages, highlighting the impact of the guitar on genres such as jazz, rock, folk and experimental music.

“Movies Under the Stars” returns to NYC with more than 300 free screenings
Spring–autumn 2026
NYC Parks and the New York City Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment announce the return of the Movies Under the Stars series, offering more than 300 free outdoor screenings in parks across the five boroughs all season long.
Programming will include family films and favorites such as Wicked & Wicked for Good, Encanto, Lilo & Stitch and Dirty Dancing, as well as documentaries, independent films and shorts that reflect the diversity of the city’s communities.
The screenings will begin at dusk in parks in Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, the Bronx and Staten Island, inviting New Yorkers to enjoy the outdoor cinema with blankets, snacks and in community.
This year, the program also expands to new locations and will include the NYC Public Schools Film Festival and a special World Cup tribute soccer series.
