Cinco de Mayo Celebration at Queens Theater

The Claire Shulman Theater is filled with music, tradition and cultural pride with a special Cinco de Mayo celebration that pays tribute to Mexico’s great composers.

A unique night where the music of Juan Gabriel, Armando Manzanero, José Alfredo Jiménez, Joan Sebastian and more comes to life on stage with a powerful cast of live artists.

Mariachi, boleros, salsa and soul come together in a single evening to celebrate the Mexican musical legacy with performances full of emotion and energy.

The program includes Mariachi Perla Mexicana de NYC, young second-generation musicians revitalizing traditional mariachi; vocalist Dante Alonso with his style that mixes bolero and classical elegance; the singer Mariano Cersa with Jarocha roots and an interpretation full of feeling; and salsa star Carolina La O, internationally recognized for her powerful voice and stage presence.

A night to celebrate the identity, culture and music that has marked generations.
