The hip hop takes the Queens Theater stage with the Joffrey Ballet School

On Friday, July 11 at 2:00 p.m., the Joffrey Ballet School will present the final sample of its Hip Hop 2025 summer intensive in Queens Theater, with a vibrant staging that celebrates the talent and effort of its young dancers. Under the guidance of renowned choreographers such as Jona Biddle, Casie “Tynee” Goshow and Trix, the presentation will include battles, urban rhythms and choreographic narratives that reflect three weeks of intensive training. More than a show, it will be a real celebration of art, energy and community.

In the heart of the New York summer, the energy of Rio de Janeiro lands at Josie Robertson Plaza with Gafieira Rio Miami, a Brazilian big band composed of musicians from Brazil, Cuba, Venezuela and the US. With brilliant arrangements of classics by Gilberto Gil, Alcione and Djavan, the group revives the spirit of the Gafieira halls of the 40s and 50s, merging Samba, Jazz and Soul to vibrate the Lincoln Center dance floor in a free show presented with Brazil Summerfest.

Caique Vidal will bring Bay’s energy to Lincoln Center

The Bahiano Caique Vidal and his Batuque band will fill the Brazilian week in the Lincoln Center with a powerful Samba Afrobrasileña show. Former Olodum member and referent of the Brazilian diaspora, Vidal promises a vibrant night with drums, dance and messages of empowerment. His style Musta Reggae, Salsa, Pop, Rock, Samba and Bossa Nova, as shown in his latest Save My Heart album. The concert, presented with Brazil Summerfest, will be free and outdoors.
