FIFA 2025 Club World Cup will distribute one billion dollars in prizes

The Soccer Club World Cup, which will be played in the United States from June 14 to July 13, will have a “unprecedented” awards boat with a total value of one billion dollars, according to FIFA on Wednesday in a statement after approving it in its council.

This amount includes a disposition for a solidarity mechanism that will be dedicated to club football worldwide.

“The FIFA Club World Cup will not only be the Club Soccer Summit, but also a vivid demonstration of solidarity that will benefit clubs in general to a scale that no other competition has ever achieved,” said the president of the agency, the Italian Gianni Infantino.

In the Council, the annual report of 2024 was unanimously approved, which includes the budget revenue objective of 13 billion dollars for the 2023-2026 cycle, during which, according to the statement, “almost 90 percent will be reversed again in the game to significantly boost the development of world football.”

On the income at the Club World Cup, Infantino added that “all the income generated by the tournament will be distributed among the participating clubs and through the solidarity of clubs around the world, since FIFA will not remain a single dollar.”

According to the top leader, “FIFA reserves, which are there for the development of world football, will remain intact.”

In addition, the organization ensures that, by 2026, the unprecedented amount of up to 5,100 million dollars will have made available to football, since 2016.
