Don’t miss a vibrant Dominican Night this Saturday in Prospect Park with Teodoro Reyes, La Insuperable and Aris Jackson

This Saturday, August 29, Prospect Park will become the scene of a celebration to the rhythm of bachata, dembow and tropical music with “Dominican Night at the Bandshell”, a free concert that will bring together prominent Dominican music artists.

The event, presented by Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso and BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn!, will feature performances by Teodoro Reyes, La Insuperable and Aris Jackson, as well as appearances by DJ Mega Jay.

The legendary bachatero Teodoro Reyes will bring his romantic songs to the stage, while La Insuperable, known as “La Mami del Swagger”, will bring the urban flavor with his dembow proposal. For his part, Aris Jackson will combine tropical sounds and Latin music with his charismatic style.

“Brooklyn is home to one of the most vibrant Dominican communities in the country, and I am very excited to bring the rhythms of the Dominican diaspora to the heart of Prospect Park. Whether you grew up listening to Dominican music or this is your first concert, you are guaranteed to have a good time at Dominican Night at the Bandshell!” said Reynoso.

The official, the son of Dominican immigrants and the first Dominican American to serve as president of Brooklyn, highlighted the role of the Dominican community in the culture of the borough.

The activity is part of BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn!, New York’s oldest free outdoor performing arts festival, which this year celebrates its 47th edition under the motto “Radical Joy.”

Admission will be free and on a first-come, first-served basis. There will also be an ASL interpreter for the deaf and hard of hearing.
