Brentwood announces the 10 students with the highest GPA in the class of 2027

The Brentwood Union Free School District proudly recognized the top 10 academic performers in the Class of 2027 during a luncheon held on September 25.

“Being in the top 10 is an incredible achievement, but it is not the degree they leave high school with that will define them. It’s what they do with everything they’ve learned and the impact they make after they leave us,” said Superintendent Wanda Ortiz-Rivera.

“However, this announcement was simply about celebrating them and recognizing the years of hard work, perseverance and dedication that led them to this moment. “Their success also belongs to the teachers, counselors, staff members and families who have supported, encouraged and believed in them along the way.”

Presented in descending order of GPA, the top 10 Sonderling Center High School students are:

David Garcia, Noel Escobar, Sarai Canales, Maritza Prescod, Erick Benitez, Mustafa Usman, Danyal Cheema, Nooh Najum, Junia Venmorise and Allison Martinez.
