M & T Bank is pleased to announce that two non -profit organizations for Long Island have obtained subsidies for a total of $ 212,000 in the final financing round of the amplify Fund (amplify Fund) of M&T, whose objective is to promote financial inclusion and boost economic growth and prosperity.
The M&T Balefic Foundation, the philanthropic branch of M&T Bank (NYSE: MTB), recently announced the concession of $ 4.9 million in subsidies to 51 non -profit organizations in New England, Long Island and Westchester County, New York.
The announcement of this third round concludes the supplementary subsidies program of the company’s amplify fund, a triennial commitment of $ 25 million to address inequalities, with an approach to all low and moderate income communities and marginalized populations.
The local organizations benefited are:
– Hispanic Brotherhood – Aviation Work Force Development Program (Rockville Center):
The academy for preparation for aviation is a collaboration between Hispanic Brotherhood (Hispanic Brotherhood) and the Black National Coalition of Federal Aviation Employees (National Black Coalition of Federal Aviation Employees) that will offer vocational training and access roads to subremitted populations in the aviation industry, aimed at people who have graduated from the high school (or have a Ged). Participants will receive practical instruction in museums, including the cradle of aviation (Cradle of Aviation), Jetblue and Airports.
Once the participants have successfully completed the program, obtained the certification and determined their desire to advance, they will be presented to industry professionals. In addition, the Jetblue Airways Human Resources Department knows the program and is willing to ensure that candidates receive a job interview. This will create an access road for an industry that desperately seeks qualified and prepared candidates.
