The Sewanhaka High School community recently gathered for its annual Homecoming 2026 celebration, enjoying an exciting day filled with great school spirit, community pride, and Ravens tradition.
This year’s festivities began with a lively parade around the track, which featured creative floats and banners inspired by the event’s theme.
The marching band, cheerleaders, Rockettes, Homecoming representatives, and various student organizations were on hand to celebrate and highlight the day.
The excitement carried over to the football field, where the Sewanhaka Ravens took on Division Avenue High School. And although the final result did not favor the “Ravens”, the team showed determination and resilience throughout the game.
At halftime, spectators enjoyed performances by the school band, the Twirlers, and the “Rockettes.”

Also recognized were Joseph Vandezande and Sophia Gutierrez, who were crowned as the “Homecoming” representatives during the school pep rally.
The emotional day served as a celebration of school pride and the strong sense of community that unites the Sewanhaka High School family, located in Floral Park, NY.
