The Premier League starts with coverage in Spanish on Telemundo

After a historic summer, Telemundo reaffirms its year-round commitment to top-level soccer through Spanish-language coverage of the 2026-27 Premier League season, starting Friday, August 21 on the screens of Telemundo, Universo, Telexitos and Peacock.

The season kicks off on Friday at 3 pm ET, when reigning Premier League champions Arsenal host newly promoted Coventry City, who return to the top flight of English football for the first time in 25 years.

The opening weekend continues with a full day of unmissable fixtures featuring some of the world’s biggest clubs and stars, including Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Chelsea.

On Saturday, August 22, Universo presents Hull City vs. Manchester United at 7:25 a.m. ET, when newly promoted Hull City return to the Premier League to face Manchester United. Next, Everton vs. Crystal Palace at 10 am ET on Universo.

Sunday’s coverage features two marquee matchups on Telemundo, beginning at 9 a.m. ET, when Manchester City hosts Bournemouth, followed by Newcastle United vs. Liverpool at 11:30 a.m. ET. Brighton vs. Aston Villa will also be broadcast live on Peacock at 9am ET.

The opening weekend concludes on Monday, August 24, when Fulham hosts Chelsea in a London duel at 3 pm ET on Universo and Telexitos.

The first weeks will continue to offer high-profile matches across Telemundo platforms, including Liverpool vs. Nottingham Forest and Tottenham Hotspur vs. Newcastle on Saturday August 29; Manchester United vs. Ipswich Town on Sunday August 30; Aston Villa vs. Arsenal on Monday, August 31; and Arsenal vs. Chelsea on Sunday, September 6.

Among the most notable matches of the start of the season, Manchester City and Manchester United will face off in the first Manchester Derby of the campaign on Sunday, September 13 at 11:30 am ET on Telemundo.

Telemundo’s Premier League coverage will feature Carlota Vizmanos, Andrés Cantor, Luis Omar Tapia, Omar Zerón and Diego Balado, along with the rest of Telemundo Deportes’ talented team, who will provide expert analysis, match commentary and comprehensive coverage throughout the season.
