Brentwood Unified School District students showed off their language skills and cultural pride in 9th grade. “Annual Spanish Spelling Bee,” held on May 2, highlighting the district’s strong bilingual education program and its commitment to multilingual learning.
The Spanish Spelling Bee event brought together students, families and staff in a celebration of academic achievement, deeply rooted in language and identity.
Participants demonstrated their increasing proficiency in Spanish, while displaying the confidence and perseverance necessary to compete in a live academic environment.
In the competition, held at Brentwood High School, this year’s winning word was “respectful.”
Each student who competed received recognition for their effort and achievements.
