Amityville Memorial High School students attend LILTA women’s conference

Twenty Amityville Memorial High School students recently had the incredible opportunity to attend the Long Island Latino Teachers Association (LILTA) Women’s Conference held at Stony Brook University.

LILTA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to increasing graduation rates and supporting higher education enrollment, retention, and completion for all students.

Throughout the day, students interacted with inspiring women leaders, explored potential career paths, and engaged in meaningful conversations focused on leadership, education, and empowerment.

This experience at the Women’s Conference organized by the Long Island Latino Teachers Association (LILTA) provided them with valuable perspectives and encouragement just as they begin to reflect on their future.

Opportunities like this continue to open doors for Amityville students, reinforcing the limitless possibilities ahead of them and inspiring the next generation of leaders.
