Adventure is officially back on Long Island! The Adventure Park, the region’s premier destination for ziplining and outdoor climbing, opened its doors for the 2026 season this Friday, March 20.
A favorite spring tradition for families, teens and thrill-seekers alike, The Adventure Park invites visitors to climb, zipline and explore 14 aerial courses and 49 zip lines high in the trees.
“We are excited to kick off another season of outdoor adventures and welcome both regular climbers and first-time visitors,” said Phil Insalaco, park manager. “After a long winter, there is nothing better than getting outdoors, challenging yourself and having fun breathing fresh air.”
To celebrate the season, the park is offering special hours during Spring Break, April 2-12, remaining open daily from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The fun continues with the return of the popular “Easter Tree Egg Hunt.” Visitors will be able to search for hidden “eggs” as they climb the adventure park’s circuits and, at the end of their adventure, they will enjoy a sweet gift from the on-site store. Participation in this “Easter Egg Hunt” is free with the purchase of a climbing ticket.

Challenges among the trees
The Adventure Park’s 14 courses consist of various tree challenges, including bridges, tightropes, ladders and 49 zip lines. Participants use harnesses with carabiners that connect to the circuit’s safety system, ensuring that they always remain attached to the course until they reach the end.
The main circuits are designed for ages 7 and up, while an ‘Adventure Playground’ offers a low-to-the-ground adventure experience for little climbers ages 3 to 6.
Non-climbing participants have free access to share the experience from dry land and enjoy the property’s nature trails and picnic tables.
The Adventure Park at Long Island is open to the general public and is located within the Henry Kaufmann Campground, on Long Island. The address is 75 Colonial Springs Road, East Gate, in Wheatley Heights, NY. Visitors are encouraged to book in advance through the park’s website myAdventurePark.com/LIAP or by calling 631-983-3844.
